About Ithaca Foreign Car Service

Ithaca Foreign Car Service was started in 1974 by Dave Allen, Dave Brumsted, and Dan Ryan.

After a year or two Dan decided to pursue other interests, and left Dave and Dave to carry on.

The business became known far and wide as "Dave and Daves"

In 1984 the business moved to the much larger current location on State Street.

Dave Allen "retired" in 1992, after many, many years of working on cars, to devote more time to being a gentleman farmer .

Due to the large amount of business at the shop, Dave Allen was presssed back into action in 1995 and continues to work part-time.

At the beginning of 2006 we added a dedicated sales location one block from the service department.

In January 2007 the service department moved across the parking lot to a new timber frame building to provide you a better service experience.

Dave Brumsted runs day to day operations from the service location.
